TigerNet Wired Network AccessTigerNet is MU's high-speed Ethernet computing network that is connected to the Internet. Service is available in most on-campus offices, classrooms, conference rooms, computing sites, residence halls, and some fraternities and sororities. (Other available network/internet access services include TigerLink dial-up, TigerLink Plus and TigerNet Wireless access.)Fees and AvailabilityResidence hall network access is included in the student room rate. Network access through TigerLink Plus is also included in the room rate for on-campus apartments. However, students living in apartments must obtain an Ethernet modem from the Division of IT. See TigerLink Plus for details.AccessTigerNet service requires a Network Interface Card (NIC) and cable to connect a computer to the network. (See the Support links to the right for connection instructions.) All residence halls have one TigerNet port available per student. TigerNet is not available in Manor House or student apartments.
