Domain Name Service and IP Addresses

Domain names identify web sites and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses identify the unique address of each device attached. The Division of IT manages the Domain Name Service (DNS) and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for MU and UM System organizations (not including UM Health Care). Individual faculty and staff must contact their departmental IT Pro or the Division of IT to set up a new domain.

Dial-Up Internet Service (TigerLink)

TigerLink dial-up service is available for MU off-campus access at speeds up to 56K. TigerLink is available to retired faculty and staff and individuals with a current University affiliation. More information...

Off-Campus Network Access

There are different ways to access MU's network from off campus. You can access the Internet, email, web hosting/file storage and Virtual Private Network (VPN) through TigerLink, Webmail, and VPN. The University of Missouri has joined the eduroam community to provide Wi-Fi access for visiting scholars. MU faculty, staff and students can use their MizzouWireless username and password to access wireless networks on eduroam-affiliated campuses. More information...
